Menopause
Menopause is a natural process where a woman stopping ovulating and menstruating. The average age of menopause is between age 45 to 55. Ten years prior to the official diagnosis of menopause (also called perimenopause) the ovaries have stopped regularly releasing eggs and caused fertility to plunk. During perimenopause and menopause, a woman's body goes through many changes as it adapted to shifting hormone levels. For some, it can be associated with numerous unpleasant symptoms such as:
Hot flashes and/or night sweats
No longer experiencing menses
Itching
Dryness
Pain with sex
Burning with urination (aka., urethritis ~ inflammation of the urethra)
Incontinence

Medicinal herbs and yoga therapy have been successfully used for centuries to help ease menopausal symptoms. With modern conventional western medicine, it’s easy to overlook the natural remedies and revert only to hormone replacement therapy (HRT). HRT are typically prescribed as the one-size-fits-all approach to treating menopausal symptoms, loaded with dangerous side effects, such as increased risk of cancer, heart disease, liver disease, and many other chronic diseases. HRTs are well-recognized as causing significant harm with little good.
